Who's conning whom?

Watching Yankees-Twins game 3, I see a commercial for a new Fox "reality" show called My Big Fat Obnoxious Boss, the premise of which appears to be a bunch of "Ivy League business grads" playing out a remake of the old Nickelodeon show You Can't Do That On Television! for the benefit of a rich but psycopathic boss (Donald Trump meets Trelane).

Only it's a hoax. The "boss" is some actor giving free reign to his Inner DeSade. All will be revealed, presumably, at the end, when the "Ivy League business grads" will find out how thoroughly they've been punk'd, and hilarity will, one supposes, ensue. And a good time will have been had by all.

Right. You mean to tell me that not one of these "Ivy League business grads" spent 5 minutes on Google checking out their new "boss"? That the mixture seen in the commercials of Montgomery Burns-style nastiness and Homer Simpson-style entertainment would not strike even one of them as just a bit too strange to be quite, well, "real"?

Sorry. Don't buy it. I'm not saying the entire show is faked, but if these people were able to get into, let alone get out of, a genuine Ivy League business school, then that explains an awful lot. Not the least of which is George W. Bush.
